Managing Principal
Manoj M. Manwani is the Managing Principal and Founder of Canyon Park Capital, LLC, a real estate investment firm focused on the acquisition, repositioning, and active management of commercial real estate assets.
Since establishing Canyon Park Capital, Mr. Manwani has led the acquisition and management of over $200 million in commercial real estate across nine states, with a primary focus on the Midwest, Oklahoma, Florida, and Texas. The firm’s investment strategy emphasizes capital preservation, downside protection, and disciplined value creation through active asset management and structured capital execution.
In 2016, Mr. Manwani relocated from Los Angeles to Metro Detroit to pursue opportunities aligned with the region’s long-term economic recovery and demographic tailwinds. While he has since moved from the City of Detroit, Canyon Park Capital remains headquartered in Birmingham, Michigan, maintaining a strong operating presence and long-term commitment to its core Midwest markets.
Mr. Manwani began his career at Deloitte, advising Fortune 500 companies on operational strategy, financial performance, and risk management. In 2008, he transitioned to lead his family’s operating business while building and managing a diversified real estate portfolio spanning residential, commercial, and industrial assets throughout Southern California.
Mr. Manwani employs a conservative underwriting framework and hands-on management approach, emphasizing alignment of interests and long-term capital stewardship. He resides with his family in suburban Detroit.
Dr. Sachin J. Shah
Principal
Dr. Sachin J. Shah is an Emergency Medical Physician and Executive, practicing for over 20 years in the greater NY area. Dr. Shah has held various leadership roles within the companies and the hospitals that he supports. His efforts have led to significant operational and financial improvements in many facets of both business and medicine.
Dr. Shah has also been an astute commercial real estate investor for over 10 years. His experience spans from multi-family housing to shopping centers with successful turnarounds and profitable exits.
Much as with his medical career, Dr. Shah’s focus is on managing risk and seeking returns that exceed the risks involved. Sachin lives in Connecticut with his wife and two children.
Dr. Darshan Patel
Principal
Dr. Darshan Patel is a double board certified Physician in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He has been practicing for over 15 years and has been Chief of his department for more than 10 years. He is an Assistant Professor at New York Medical College. Dr. Patel leads many leadership, operations, teaching, quality and research efforts. His hospital is considered a Center of Excellence in the NY Region.
Darshan grew up in the family motel business, where he started learning day to day operations and a strong work ethic at a very early age. He subsequently attended Vanderbilt University for his undergraduate degree where he received his BA in Economics (cum lade) with a minor in pre-med.
Darshan uses his education, passion, and business acumen to build a diverse real estate and equity portfolio with successful returns and gains balanced with appropriate risk. His investment portfolio includes equities, condominiums, retail, mixed use, hospitality, multifamily, RV parks, industrial, new home construction, housing flips and rentals, storage facilities, tech start ups. and crypto currencies.
Darshan lives in New York with his wife and three children.
